Over the last decade, across Columbia, Greene and Ulster County, heating oil has been seeing declines as homeowners have been moving off of it for different fuel sources.
Other forms of heating have picked up the slack. In this article, we’re going to look at what it takes to get a natural gas furnace permitted in the Hudson Valley. Since 2013, 2,778 Ulster County households have switch to natural gas heating, 231 households in Columbia County, and 629 in Greene County.
Here’s a breakdown, town by town, of what permits you need to get.
